Demo-BLog's 3rd general assembly - Strengthening ties

On 10 and 11 April, the Demo-BLog consortium celebrated their third general assembly in Nice. The one and a half day meeting that was hosted by R2M Solutions was notorious for the high level of interaction between participants and work packages, partly thanks to the rather familiar atmosphere achieved within the consortium.

The first point on the agenda was the meeting with the advisory board (AB) of Demo-BLog. For almost two hours the five digital building logbook (DBLs) presented the main advancements and challenges on the development of their pilots. Ten members of the AB joined the meeting and provided valuable feedback to the presenters. They also showed their interest to work more closely with those pilots that match their area of expertise.

The floor was taken up next by Leap Forward and TUDelft, partners that are developing a social inclusion playbook for DBLs. The task leaders presented a prototype of this playbook in order to gather feedback from the consortium.

The rest of the day was dedicated to synergy workshops to bridge gaps between work packages, and dwell into the transition from prototyping to demonstrating. As part of this exercise, five roundtables of discussion and brainstorming were organised to better understand the challenges each pilot faced or would be facing, and how those could be tackled.

On the last day, three other interactive workshops were organised by different partners. The first was a session on AI applications and its potential on data, by the work package dedicated to data collection, interoperability, processing and governance. After that, the partners in charge of communication (BPIE) and dissemination opened up the debate on how to better promote project results and on the communication needs for each pilot. The last workshop was organised by R2M, who are in charge of exploitation and replication, focused on the analysis of key exploitable results and market positioning.

Finally, the reunion gave the opportunity for out of the box conversations over coffee breaks and meals offering the perfect setting for potential new collaborations and synergies.
